Hi, it’s Suana and Regis again from Pizza Bello.  

A few things have changed in the shop and we wanted to give you this little update.  We have been open for only ten months now and it seems like years.  I can say that we are living every minute of it, still planning details for shop efficiency, planning for growth, building a loyal team etc.  


The big news for some is that we got approved to sell beer and wine.  We installed a keg refrigerator and have it stocked with Deschutes, Fat Tire, Lagunitas IPA and Blue Moon craft beers.  For an indeterminate time, we are offering these in a 16oz size for $2.50, along with any food purchase.  Also, we are offering these same craft beers at half off every Monday and Tuesday.


We put a few noteworthy items on our menu. Many of you have asked about a white pizza sauce, so we came up with a homemade creamy Alfredo sauce. For pizza, we introduced Chicken Alfredo, made with homemade sauce, fresh spinach, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes.  Chicken Tandoori and Paneer Pizza (veg.) – for those akin to savory Indian spices, and Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. 

On the sandwich side we added a real winner – the Caprese Sub, made with fresh spinach, fresh mozzarella, Roma Tomato and fresh basil, all layered inside a pesto and marinara buttered and toasted ciabatta roll.  Hot and cold together on each bite.  It’s quite exquisite.


We acquired a third frozen yogurt machine recently.  Now offering six flavors, dedicating one to sorbet and the balance, low-fat and non-fat all natural frozen yogurt.  Also we expanded our delivery area to include all of Pleasanton and Dublin.

Hi everyone its Regis here, co-owner with Suana of Pizza Bello.    I thought I might get something started here in the Blog so that you might get used to looking here on occasion for things concerning our little business.

It’s been almost six months now since we opened to doors, March 1st will be exactly six months.  Boy I can tell you that things were rough those first couple months with Suana and I trying to stabilize Pizza Bello operations while both holding full time professional jobs.   Lots of late night hours figuring things out.     We are pleased to report that just about everything is running smoothly now.

Some things have changed recently.  We have opened our delivery area beyond Pleasanton to include most of Dublin (south of Acosta Blvd. and east of San Ramon Rd).  We had many requests from there and decided to make a go of it.  Also the BIG news.  Pizza Bello has applied for a Beer and Wine license.  This is in response to many requests from customers.   In retrospect, it was silly of us not to have planned for this from the start, but we were so focused on the food really, that it wasn’t even a consideration at the open.  With some luck we will be serving beer and wine by mid-spring.   Let it be noted that Pizza Bello is a “friends and family” place and we intend to keep it that way.
